The travel industry is rebounding strongly and guests are making up for it by treating themselves to room upgrades and additional services. Oaky is helping hotels to leverage room upgrades to boost their revenue.
A recent successful A/B test, with a sample size of 400,000 guests from all over the world that was run over the span of a few weeks, found that Oaky has delivered 75% more room upgrade revenue to its customers. What’s more, it showed better results on all devices.
In addition to upselling room upgrades, their software has also helped their customers to generate more revenue through selling services, such as spa treatments and food and beverage deals. Services conversion increased by 14%, while revenue climbed by 6%.
Erik Tengen, co-founder of Oaky, commented, “While we’ve also helped our customers to increase conversions, our main goal is to improve room upgrade revenue for our customers. That’s where our main focus is. We’re continuously implementing A/B tests and by being part of Oaky you can benefit from the cumulative intelligence of A/B testing across thousands of hotels.”
Hotels are not the only ones benefiting from this wealth of data. In the process, Oaky is also helping hotels to create better overall guest experiences. As their platform is highly personalized, they can deliver the most suitable deal to the right guest at the optimal time to ensure a superior stay.
Earlier this year, Oaky was named the number one upselling software by Hotel Tech Report. What makes this feat even more impressive is that it was the fifth year in a row that they have won this prestigious award. Tako Paddenburg, Oaky’s other co-founder, explains, “At Oaky, we’ve selected a specific goal — to grow TRevPAR for our customers. We’re an ambitious company and it’s seen in our results.”
