Niepce Paris Hotel, named after influential French photographer Janine Niepce, officially opened, joining Curio Collection’s portfolio of hand-picked and personality-driven hotels.
Hilton’s exclusive brand, Curio Collection, adds another unique hotel to its collection of almost 50 upscale properties worldwide. From luxurious desert hideaways to private beach clubs and medieval estates – the brand has definitely got some interesting properties on its list.
In France, they currently have three branches: The Grand Hotel des Sablettes Plage, a historic hotel overlooking the Mediterranean Sea; the Maison Astor Paris, situated in the luxury and fashion district; and its latest addition, the Niepce Paris Hotel, inspired by the photography of Janine Niepce, who made her name in the ‘Roaring Twenties’.
Niepce Paris Hotel is located in the heart of Paris, where guests can spend their days in the area’s rich art and romantic culture. The hotel is near the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, and as an added perk, guests can beat the Eiffel Tower crowd with panoramic views of Paris from the Montparnasse Tower. Its convenient location offers easy access to some of the most iconic monuments and sites in the city.
Mark Nogal, global head of Curio Collection, is delighted to welcome Niepce Paris Hotel to the collection as it makes its debut in the iconic city. In a statement, he said: “The opening of Niepce Paris highlights our commitment to expand our collection in key destinations around the world, and we look forward to providing our customers with an unforgettable experience in the district of Montparnasse.”
With a vintage Hollywood-inspired style, the hotel will take travellers through a journey back in time. Niepce’s famous shots are featured in the hotel’s public areas – in the corridors and on ceiling displays – adding an artsy touch to the hotel’s ambience.
The hotel’s main restaurant, La Verrière Paris, is located in the heart of the hotel. Its glass roof lets in natural daylight, creating a grand backdrop for a memorable dining experience. On the menu, guests can choose between an array of French and international cuisines, all prepared with the freshest ingredients. In addition, La Galeria welcomes guests with a selection of fine wines and cocktails, which accompanies the culinary options.
Guests can choose from 52 elegant and chic rooms, including three of the finest suites. The rooms feature the latest technology with tablet control systems and high-speed internet, as well as a separate living area.
Simon Vincent, EVP and president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, made a comment on Curio Collection’s debut in Paris: “Last year, Paris welcomed 16 million travellers, a record number of visitors for the past 10 years. In light of this increase in tourism, we are very excited to develop our portfolio of hotels in the city and we are delighted to open our first hotel for the Curio Collection by Hilton brand in the capital city”.
