New York named most popular destination for a multi-centre holiday: Co-op Holidays
New York is fast becoming the most popular location for travellers looking to take a multi-centre holiday in 2024, according to new booking data from Co-op Holidays.
Co-op Holidays, the in-house tour operator for Your Co-op Travel, has found multi-centre bookings have grown by 86% in the past year, with holidaymakers yearning for the adventure of two trips in one.
Las Vegas, Reykjavik, and Toronto have been identified as the top three destinations that travellers are often pairing with trips to the big apple, with the Caribbean and both Vegas and San Francisco together rounding out the top five multi-centre locations.
Famed as ‘the city that never sleeps’, New York is Co-op Holidays’ third most booked destination for 2024 trips to date, with short haul city breaks the most popular form of travel this year.
New York City is renowned for its iconic landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and Central Park, as well as its world-class museums, theatres, and a vibrant nightlife. The city also boasts a dynamic seasonal climate, offering warm sunshine in the summer and picturesque snowfalls during the festive season.
Moreover, some of the world’s most popular films and TV shows have also been filmed on its streets. From Gossip Girl and Goodfellas to Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Friends, holidaymakers can visit filming locations for the latter as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this September.
Katie Blunt, Brand and Marketing Manager at Your Co-op Travel, said: “Visiting New York is an absolute must for travellers who are looking for delicious food, eye-catching landmarks, and a variety of attractions, and with so many other destinations now in reach from its streets, booking a multi-centre break couldn’t be easier.
“Whether you’re a family, a couple, or a group of friends, a multi-centre trip to the big apple promises all the thrills of the city alongside a getaway to the bright lights of Vegas, metropolis of Toronto, or across the world to Reykjavik!”
