We will make full use of the park’s international standard advanced sports facilities to assist the Hong Kong Government in realizing the vision of an international sports platform, developing the sports industry’s home court economy, and welcoming entertainment events to shine on the international stage at Kai Tak.”
A star-studded celebration
As all Hong Kong turned out for the official opening, attendees found themselves starstruck by a host of local and Mainland celebrities from the fields of sports, arts and culture, film, television, and music.
Featured performers gave audiences their all to celebrate the opening which revolved around four key segments.
The show began with energetic drumbeats and powerful dances, followed by dragon and lion dances entering the Stadium from all directions, symbolizing Hong Kong’s constant growth and development as a leading global metropolis.
Afterwards, vocalists showcased the city’s boundless energy through song as the new landmark was unveiled for the world to see.
A venue for world-class spectacles
