Music meets Sustainability at Thai Vietjet’s ‘Vietjet Fly Green Charity Concert’
Thai Vietjet, for the first time, organized its ‘Vietjet Fly Green Charity Concert’ on the night of April 18, 2023, at Patong Bay Hill, Phuket, featuring a star-studded line-up of talented Thai artists including Ae Jirakorn, Sarah Salola, Mum Laconics, Playground, and many more.
The ‘Vietjet Fly Green Charity Concert’ originates from the airline’s environmental fund ‘Fly Green Fund’, which has been established since early 2021 with the ultimate goal to support Seub Nakhasathien Foundation’s environmental preservation activities to protect the forest and endangered wildlife throughout Thailand.
“Thai Vietjet has made continuous contributions to the sustainability of environmental protection and is committed to supporting and promoting sustainable tourism in Thailand. We are thrilled to have partnered with Patong Bay Hill to organize this charity concert, bringing together music fans to raise awareness about environmental issues and funds to support Sueb Nakasathien Foundation. We commit to continuing our mission to save the earth, which is the primary goal of Fly Green Fund”, said Pinyot Pibulsonggram head of commercial at Thai Vietjet.
The charity concert was organized by Thai Vietjet, together with partners from various industries; Advice, Boardriders, Patong Bay Hill, White Lagoon Phuket, and Love Andaman, with the prior aim to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage sustainable practices. All net revenue from concert ticket sales, priced at THB 1,000 each, will be donated to the Sueb Nakasatien Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental conservation. The event was a resounding success, with a large turnout of music fans and supporters of environmental courses. The artists delivered an electrifying performance that left the audience entertained and inspired.
Since the establishment of the Fly Green Fund, Thai Vietjet has consistently been carrying out a wide range of environmental projects and activities, including ‘Garbage Hunter’ – a project with the purpose of removing garbage from various locations in Thailand, ‘Fly Green Charity Golf Day’ – the first charity golf tournament under Fly Green Fund and ‘Metro Forest’– a project to increase more green areas in the urban cities in Thailand.
Furthermore, Thai Vietjet has an upcoming project under Fly Green Fund ‘Metro Forest in Chiang Mai’, marking its second campaign after the successful implementation of the first Metro Forest in Bangkok. The event date will be announced soon.
Fly Green Fund was established in 2021 with the ultimate goal of supporting Seub Nakhasathien Foundation’s environmental activities to continue safeguarding, preserving, and defending the forest and endangered animals.
