MSC Cruises, the world’s third-largest and fastest-growing cruise company, moored the MSC Meraviglia at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. The modern and stunning mega-ship has already sailed from New York to The Bahamas, Florida, Canada, New England, and Bermuda. Itineraries will be available all year, bringing in a significant and continuous economic benefit for the region and reaffirming MSC Cruises’ commitment to the New York cruise market.
MSC Meraviglia is one of the world’s largest ships, with various activities and facilities. She is dubbed “The Ship for All Seasons” because of her spacious interior and outdoor public spaces and a pool deck with a retractable roof that can be opened or closed depending on the weather.
MSC Cruises is bringing the ship to New York as part of its continued commitment to bringing its largest, most modern ships to the US market as it expands in the region. New York City joins Miami and Port Canaveral on the list of North American homeports for the cruise line.
“When we chose New York as the next step in our North American expansion, we knew that MSC Meraviglia would be the perfect ship, given her versatility and offerings for a wide variety of climates,” said Rubén Rodrguez, President of MSC Cruises USA. She’s big and innovative; she has something for everyone and is now more accessible to our guests in and around New York than ever before. We’re excited to provide travellers from the northeast with a direct link to our destination, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, which is part of our outstanding Bahamas voyages. • The Bahamas and Florida – Tropical 7- to 11-night sailings from Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida; Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, The Bahamas; Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico.
- Bermuda – Beginning in August, guests may enjoy 5- and 6-night sailings to Bermuda’s Kings Wharf, with several days in port to discover the island’s splendour.
- Canada and New England – Just in time for fall, MSC Meraviglia will offer 10- and 11-night voyages to Newport, Boston, and Portland in the United States and Saint John, Halifax, Charlottetown, and Sydney in Canada.
