Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island participates in the ‘Kilo of Kindness 2024 Campaign’
Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island is proud to be a part of the Kilo of Kindness 2024, a global initiative involving over 75 Mövenpick hotels across 30 countries, all dedicated to supporting local communities through acts of generosity. Running from 14 October to 15 November 2024, the campaign invites guests, staff, and local residents to donate essential items such as food, clothing, and school supplies, which will be distributed to local charity partners.
Since its launch in 2015, the Kilo of Kindness initiative has gathered over 90,000 kg of donations globally. This year, Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island aims to amplify this impact within Ras Al Khaimah, inviting tourists, business travellers, and local residents to join the movement.
Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island has partnered with Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Charitable Educational Foundation, an organisation dedicated to pioneering education for orphans and students from low-income families, provides care, rehabilitation, and empowerment for people of determination, and fosters an environment that nurtures talent and innovation. The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Charitable Educational Foundation will focus on supporting orphans and students from low-income families ensuring that donations collected through the Kilo of Kindness initiative directly benefit those who need it most in the local community.

Guests and local residents can contribute by bringing donations to the lobby from 14 October to 15 November 2024, where staff will assist with collection and ensure all contributions are delivered promptly.

The donations will support the work of organisations around the world which celebrate food for good, supporting people with nutritious meals and essential food supplies, as well as initiatives that inspire connection and discovery through educational materials, books, and art supplies. Each participating hotel selects a local charity partner, ensuring that there is a positive impact in the neighbouring community.
