Montenegro to experience significant growth in 2025 with Jet2

This year, the UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline, Jet2.com, saw record ticket sales from UK travellers for holidays to Montenegro. Responding to demand from customers, Jet2.com has increased a 9% increase in arriving seats bolstering its connectivity to the undisputed gem of the Balkans.

Boasting two new routes to Tivat this summer from Birmingham Airport and London Stansted, as well as Manchester in 2023, 2024 saw over 31,000 arriving seats on sale, with a total of six weekly flights across the three UK bases. Operating 1 April until 31 October 2024, all of which were exclusive to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

Due to the success of the season, over 34,000 arriving seats are now on sale to Tivat for 2025 from all three UK bases and representing a growth of 9% compared with 2024. Furthermore, flights and holidays to Montenegro with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are already on sale for 2026.

Montenegro offers customers a wealth of history and culture, alongside stunning scenery and year-round temperate weather. From the Bay of Kotor to Durmitor National Park, travellers had an endless supply of mountains, natural parks, lakes, beaches, mediaeval towns and quaint villages all waiting to be discovered. Alpine Coaster

New for 2024, the Alpine Coaster opened earlier in the summer. Integrated into the mountainside, this exhilarating two-person experience descends the cliffs of Lovćen giving riders spectacular views of the Bay of Kotor. With maximum speeds of up to 40km/h, rides cost eight euros per person. With 2.5km of hiking trails within the Kotor Cable Car complex, scenic viewpoints, e-bike rentals, and a pump track, there’s something for every adventurer.

Discover Durmitor National Park

Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a haven for nature lovers. The park boasts rugged mountains, dense pine forests, and deep canyons. Hiking, rafting in the Tara River Canyon (the deepest canyon in Europe), and skiing in the winter are just a few of the activities that make Durmitor a year-round destination.

Climb Mount Lovćen

Mount Lovćen, one of the “Black Mountains” that give Montenegro its name, is a symbol of national pride. Hike or drive to the top to visit the Njegoš Mausoleum, dedicated to the country’s greatest poet and ruler, Petar II Petrović-Njegoš. The views from the summit, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the mountainous landscape, are unforgettable.

Sightsee on Lake Skadar

Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans, is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. The lake straddles the border between Montenegro and Albania, and its shores are dotted with traditional fishing villages, monasteries, and vineyards. Explore the Bay of Kotor

The Bay of Kotor, Europe’s southernmost fjord, often called “The bride of the Adriatics” is a breathtaking destination.
