The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) set a remarkable record by hosting and serving 10,000 guests for a full day at this year’s 2024 Perfect China International Convention and 30th anniversary celebration.
The Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) supported the event which drew in delegates from the Asia-Pacific.
Key markets like Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam were well represented during the conference.
MITEC managed over 1,500 casual staff, as well as its dedicated 80-member professional core team, to ensure the event’s success.
This collaborative effort resulted in a truly memorable and enjoyable experience for all delegates that showcased MITEC’s ability to handle large-scale events with precision and flair.
A timely achievement
Perfect China not only highlights MITEC’s operational prowess but also reinforces its position as a premier venue for international conferences and exhibitions. Indeed, this most recent achievement is timely as Malaysia gears up for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
That said, MITEC’s ability to host events on a grand scale plays a crucial role in attracting global visitors and enhancing the country’s reputation as a leading destination for business and tourism.
Meticulous planning and seamless execution
MITEC managing director Jessie Tan said: “We are incredibly proud of our team and the seamless execution of this momentous event. This accomplishment is a testament to [our] dedication to providing world-class service and creating unforgettable experiences for clients and their guests.”
Mohan Vasantha Thevan, MITEC head of operations, pointed out the attention to detail and precision involved in planning the successful event.
