Mercure launches new Discover Local maps

Mercure has launched a new curated list of authentic ‘Discover Local’  experiences for its guests to enjoy in Europe’s top cities, from hotspots to hidden gems. Travellers can access the easy-to-use online itineraries of must-see local recommendations, including local landmarks, heritage sites, art venues, culinary delicacies and more. The Mercure Discover Local digital guides enable guests to be immersed in the city by visiting, eating and drinking as the locals do. 

Curated for hotels in key cities in UK, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Romania, Austria and Hungary, the new digital Discover Local guides can be accessed via QR codes on bespoke key card holders and postcards per city located at the hotel’s reception.  

Embracing local discovery throughout the guest experience, each hotel has a Local Champion, helping guests discover the best of the destination. Identified by their Discover Local pin badge, each Local Champion will experience two Discover Local Days per year to immerse themselves in their destination, explore new destinations, discover local secrets and curate more tips and recommendations to inspire authentic stays for guests. Each Local Champion will become the local ambassador for the hotel, benefitting from Social Media and Content Creation training and life-skills.
