Mauritius launches online training programme in India

The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) has launched an online training programme in India.
The Mauritius Grand Master (MGM) is the first time that the tourism board will conduct an online training and certificate programme in India. Launched with an objective to increase awareness and knowledge of the destination, the programme is customised for the Indian audience comprising of frontline staff, sales and travel trade.
With seven online modules, participants will have to score a minimum of 80% in each module to proceed to the next level, while each participant will get three attempts to clear the module.
Speaking about the programme, Dr Karl Mootoosamy, director of MTPA said, “The programme will help build, grow and maintain a strong and comprehensive network of Mauritius ‘Travel Specialists’ who can promote Mauritius to attract more visitors. The objective is to make the course fun, informative and easy to understand. The online training programme will enable trade with increased knowledge about the destination and introduce innovative itinerary for Mauritius.”
