MoU with Tourism Malaysia
Tourism Malaysia has partnered with Malaysia Airlines to extend its Bonus Side Trip* campaign into 2023 — where passengers can add a stop in Malaysia to their journey from the UK to Asia and Australasia at a very minimal cost. Passengers will get a chance to add a ‘Bonus Side Trip’ from Kuala Lumpur to explore Peninsular Malaysia as part of their journey: Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu, Alor Setar and Kuantan.
Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) has also signed up to support Malaysia Airlines’ Bonus Side Trip product to entice tourists to visit the island and showcase Langkawi’s attractions and sites to even more visitors in 2023. To this effect, LADA will add on a free pass for Skycab to the Bonus Side Trip domestic ticket starting 1 November 2022. At 708 meters above sea level, Skycab is one of steepest cable car rides in the world – offering incredible 360- degree panoramic views of the entire island.
MoU with Penang Tourism
The MoU with Penang Global Tourism aims to elevate Penang as the region’s preferred tourism destination. It encompasses greater commercial collaboration and partnerships to develop joint sales and marketing campaigns, strengthen flight connectivity, and boost the profile of Penang in the UK.
MoU with Sabah Tourism
The MoU with the Sabah Tourism Board aims to develop joint promotional activities for the inflow of tourists from London into Borneo. As part of the understanding, the two parties agree to embark on promotional activities to stimulate the increase of travellers to Sabah.
MoU with Sarawak Tourism
The MoU with the Sarawak Tourism Board aims to target the UK market through joint marketing campaigns that will highlight Sarawak as a unique eco-tourism destination with diverse products and promote Sarawak’s cultural diversity of indigenous tribes as well as the gastronomy of the region.
Malaysia Airlines’ Travel Trade Incentive
