Malaysia Airlines has recruited Richard De Villa as its new Marketing Manager. De Villa joined the airline from the Philippines Department of Tourism in London, where he spent over ten years promoting the destination in Northern and Southern Europe.
De villa’s new role at Malaysia Airlines will involve handling all the marketing activities in the UK and Europe.
As well as recruiting De Villa, the airline has developed five new positions within the sales and pricing department, an expansion that signifies their ongoing commitment to supporting the travel trade. One of these new positions, Sales Support Agent, has been filled by Lilian Rotta.
Rotta’s background is with LATAM, where she worked as sales support for over two years. Rotta will be playing a key role in Malaysia Airlines, providing technical support to travel agencies in the UK and Europe.
Both Rotta and De Villa will be reporting to Adrian Keating, Malaysia Airlines’ Regional Manager for UK, Europe and USA.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Lilian and Richard to the Malaysia Airlines team. These appointments are another positive sign of the Malaysia Airlines restructuring as we strive for profitability ahead of our plan for listing in 2019. We are excited and look forward to the amazing success they can bring to our airline,” said Adrian.
