Luxury travel is rebounding at an incredible rate
“Luxury travel is rebounding at an incredible rate, and we’re ready to serve the demand,” says Martin Froggatt, executive vice president of destination management – he adds, “A&K’s global experience, offering unparalleled consistency, insider access and financial resilience makes our growth trajectory huge. Listening to our partners, we know the demand for A&K to open more DMCs is firmly there.”
Abercrombie & Kent (A&K), the luxury travel company, has announced the opening of four new Destination Management Companies (DMCs) – with openings in Colombia, Namibia, Saudi Arabia, and Canada. A&K now has over 55 offices in more than 30 countries, making it the world’s largest network of luxury DMCs. Headquartered in London, the company celebrates its 60th birthday this year since its founding by Geoffrey Kent and his parents in Kenya as a luxury safari outfitter.
Other recent DMC openings from A&K include the USA. The company has longstanding offices worldwide, including Kenya, Egypt, Thailand, Brazil and beyond, with operations on all seven continents and a staff of almost 2,500. The company operates three outbound tour operating businesses in Australasia, Europe, and North America.
A&K is dedicated to positively impacting lives and livelihoods in the places where its guests travel. Through Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy (AKP), A&K’s local DMC offices support community partners making a difference in education, health care, conservation and enterprise development, projects that benefit more than 125,000 men, women, and children each year.
During the pandemic, AKP worked with non-governmental organizations to deliver more than 2 million dollars in medical supplies and emergency relief to people whose livelihoods depend on wildlife and heritage tourism.
