VINAY DUBE has been announced as the new chief executive officer of Jet Airways. An experienced aviation professional with almost three decades of experience, Dube has held roles with Sabre and American Airlines, and most recently served as Delta’s senior vice president for Asia Pacific.
VISH SAOJI has been named as Sabre’s new chief technology officer, effective 5 September. An Indian national, Saoji will join Sabre from GE Healthcare Digital, where he serves as chief technology officer for software engineering. Prior to this, he held roles with GE Digital, EMC and Oracle.
OLIVIER DOMBEY has been appointed chief commercial officer of non-air global supply channels for Holidayme, the Dubai-based travel portal. Dombey is an experienced tourism and digital marketing expert who previously held positions with Wotif, Hoteltravel.com and Pegasus Solutions.
MARGARET YEUNG has become Rosewood Hotel Group’s new vice president of brand management & communications. She brings more than 20 years’ experience to the Hong Kong-based company. Most recently, she spent seven years as partner & director of Kalli Strategic Consulting.
MARCEL SAWYERE has been appointed general manager of the Marco Polo Lingnan Tiandi Foshan in southern China’s Guangdong province. A seasoned hotelier with 34 years’ experience, Sawyere has worked for hotel brands including Fairmont, Dusit and Wanda Hotels & Resorts.
ANDREW GEE has moved into the role of vice president sales & marketing, Asia Pacific, with Outrigger Hotels & Resorts. Gee has been regional director of sales & marketing, Australia and New Zealand, since 2014, and prior to that spent 13 years at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort.
THEODORIC CHEW has become the head of affiliate & content marketing for Voyagin, the Asian travel start-up owned by Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten. Chew, who has a strong background in tech and start-ups, previously founded existgreat.com, a global news platform for millennials.
KATIE BUXTON has been appointed as Destination Asia Group’s new global director of sales. The move marks a promotion for Ms Buxton, who spent the last seven years as the company’s general manager for Hong Kong. She has prior experience in the leisure, MICE and cruise sectors.
PATRICK PRATUMMANEE has been recruited as the executive director of the Haven’t Met Hotel Silom Bangkok, which opens its doors this month. A Filipino-Thai hospitality professional, his previous role include spells in Phuket as group GM of Absolute Resorts and GM of Catch Beach Club.
JARED GREEN has been named as the new director of sales at The Sanchaya, the luxury hotel on Indonesia’s Bintan Island. An Australian national, Green moves to Bintan from the Strand Hotel in Yangon, where he was director of sales. He has also worked in Dubai, London and Cambodia.
DANIEL SASSE has been appointed director of sales & marketing at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok. A German national, Sasse has worked with Marriott for almost two decades. Before moving to Bangkok, he held senior roles at hotels in Warsaw and Baku.
SARAH NOONAN has been hired as the new general manager of Destination Asia’s Hong Kong office. A British national, she moved to Hong Kong in 2012 and set up a regional sales office for a leading UK expedition company. She will now help to expand the DMC’s global sales network.
