HUI WAN CHUA will become the GTA’s new vice president of sales & marketing for Asia, based in Singapore. She joins the company from Zuji.com where she was CEO. Previously, Ms Chua held a series of senior roles in Asia with travel technology companies including Travelport and Abacus.
PATRICK PACIOUS has been named as the new president & CEO of Choice Hotels International, effective 1 January 2018. The move will mark a promotion for Pacious, who joined Choice in 2005 and currently serves as president & chief operating officer. He will succeed Stephen Joyce.
MICHAEL RYAN has been hired as Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s new managing director for Australia & New Zealand, based in Sydney. Ryan will bring more than 20 years of experience to the company across several companies, including American Express, Adidas and Coca Cola Amatil.
ANITA CHAN has been announced as Dorsett Hospitality International’s new senior vice president of brand marketing, as well as being GM of the Dorsett Wanchai, Cosmo Hotel and Dorsett Mongkok hotels in Hong Kong. She has worked for Dorsett Hospitality International since 2005.
ARTHORN VANASANTAKUL has been appointed managing director of MBK Hotel & Tourism, the Thai hospitality group. Under the new role, Ms Arthorn will oversee the group’s hotels. She has almost 30 years’ experience in the hotel sector with Sheraton, Shangri-La, Novotel and Dusit.
DAVID TODD has been named as InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) new senior director of new hotels for India, the Middle East and Africa (IMEA). The move marks a promotion for Todd, who previously worked for IHG in the Middle East. He will continue to be based in Dubai.
KRISNA ELISABETH SUBSINMANGKANG has been announced as the general manager of the X2 Hua Hin Oasis Residence, the new pool villa resort. A Thai-Swiss national, she previously worked with AccorHotels and most recently served as hotel manager of The Pelican Residence & Suites, Krabi.
JITTI SUKEE has been appointed hotel manager of the Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok. A Thai national and F&B specialist, he brings nearly two decades of experience to the riverside property, including spells at hotel and resorts across Thailand.
SAMAN YAWARUK has been recruited as the new hotel manager of the Sala Lanna Chiang Mai – a 25-key boutique property on the banks of the Ping River. He brings 20 years of experience to the Thai hotel, having previously been involved with a number of resort pre-openings.
CELINE DONG has been appointed as Destination NSW’s new business development manager for Shanghai. She joins the New South Wales state tourism organisation from the Singapore Tourism Board, where she held the role of manager for eastern China.
STEFANO MACCAGNO has become general manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Danang in central Vietnam. He joins the hotel with more than 20 years’ hotel experience, including spells in the Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia, and most recently at the Westin Siray Bay Resort in Phuket.
KRISTOFER BREMSTRÖM has been named as the new director of food & beverage at the Harbour Grand Kowloon hotel in Hong Kong. A Swedish national, Bremstrom previously spent several years with Starwood, most recently as director of F&B at Le Méridien Hotel Abu Dhabi.
ONANONG KAEWNGAMDEE has joined Dusit Thani Pattaya as the hotel’s new director of sales & marketing. Ms Onanong started her hospitality career at Dusit Thani Bangkok and has since worked for brands including Sofitel, Shangri-La, Conrad, Sheraton, JW Marriott and Swissotel.
WEERAYA SAKOLCHAI has been announced as the new sales manager for Sala Resorts & Spas, based at the company’s head office. Ms Weeraya Sakolchai will now focus on group and corporate sales for Sala’s properties on Phuket and Koh Samui. She has more than five years’ experience.
