Laguna Phuket unveils Wishing Tree art installation

Laguna Phuket recently unveiled the captivating and creative Wishing Tree installation which merges the skilled artistry of local craftsmanship with innovative design, welcoming visitors into a realm of enchantment. 

Drawing inspiration from the charm of spontaneous structures, the Wishing Tree is thoughtfully constructed from sustainable material, making it both visually striking and environmentally friendly. 

It makes an ideal backdrop for Instagram, elevating each visitor’s experience and creating unforgettable memories.

The installation is open to the public until 30th April.

A study in bamboo 

This stunning installation, crafted from over 700 bamboo shoots, signifies the completion of a three-month Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative spearheaded by the Central Landscape Division. 

It showcases creativity, innovation, and the thoughtful application of design concepts. Aiming to ignite curiosity, the installation encourages visitors to explore the harmonious fusion of aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility, a fundamental aspect of Laguna Phuket’s sustainability objectives.

Laguna Phuket director of central landscape Kraithera Lolurlert said of the Wishing Tree: “Our sustainability initiative at the destination is driven by our commitment to promoting environmentally friendly practices and igniting creativity. We aim to engage visitors by showcasing installations that provoke thought and encourage sustainable behaviors. We are confident that this remarkable installation will inspire visitors to reflect on their environmental action and take measures to minimise their carbon emissions, contributing to our shared mission of sustainability.”

A sight to beguile the senses

When viewed from a specific angle, the Wishing Tree installation resembles three separate trees, which stand at 6 metres, 5 metres, and 4 metres. 

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the installation seeks to enhance visitors’ comfort by providing shade. 

This feature enables visitors to unwind and relax while enjoying the serene atmosphere.

To further enhance the visitor experience, Laguna Phuket will introduce a SNAP & WIN social media contest encouraging visitors to share creative photos or videos featuring the Wishing Tree installation. 

Participants will have the opportunity to win dining and spa vouchers valued at over THB 50,000, courtesy of Angsana Laguna Phuket, Banyan Tree Phuket, Cassia Phuket, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Homm Suites Laguna, SAii Laguna Phuket, and Open Kitchen.
