La Reserva de Sotogrande opens lagoon attraction The Beach

As one of the most visited destinations in Spain, more than 30 million tourists flock to Andalusia every year, in search of the sun, sand and surf the region has become famous for. 

Found in the south of the Iberian Peninsula the autonomous community is home to perennial holiday favourites the Costa del Sol and the Sierra Nevada which have been pulling in the punters for decades.  On top of these mass-marketed holiday hotspots Andalusia can also boast a more exclusive destination: La Reserva de Sotogrande.

Located in a private residential development, La Reserva de Sotogrande has garnered a reputation for hyper-luxe living with its mix of sunshine, primo golf and tennis and unmatched service. Now in a bid to up the luxury quotient the resort has recently launched a new attraction, The Beach.

Described as a “beach in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean”, The Beach is a 3252 sqm fresh water man-made lagoon, trimmed with its own sand beach. It features landscaped gardens, a boathouse with private jetty and summer café not to mention the La Reserva golf course and a residence for families.
