JrnyOn launches 7 experiential journeys led by domain experts from September to November 2024
JrnyOn, which is a first-of-its-kind multi-day experiential travel company in India, has announced seven experiential journeys led by domain experts to be conducted from September to December 2024. These journeys have been curated in partnership with carefully hand-picked Maestros who are passionate subject matter experts. JrnyOn has worked with these influencers to curate travel itineraries around their expertise so as to transform the travelers’ journey with the Maestros into an insightful adventure. The upcoming journeys will be led by Chef Thomas Zacharias aka Chef TZac, Masterchef Nambie Marak, Chef Sapna Anand, MasterChef Aruna Vijay, ace travel photographer Hari Menon, Callisthenics coach & surfer Anupama Shivacharya and biking influencer Atul Warrier.

‘MasterChef Aruna’s Madurai and Chettinad: A Culinary Trail’ will be a treat for foodies who want to unravel the secrets of the vegetarian cuisine of Madurai and Chettinad regions of Tamil Nadu beyond dosas and idlis. MasterChef Aruna Vijay is well-known for her expertise in vegetarian cuisine, especially South Indian dishes. She will accompany the group of travellers on this culinary and cultural exploration from October 17 – 20, 2024.
Chef Thomas Zacharias, popularly known as Chef TZac, will be leading the ‘Chef TZac’s Guwahati & Shillong: A Culinary Trail’ from October 17 – 20, 2024. After honing his skills in a 3 Michelin-starred restaurant in New York, Chef TZac transitioned to championing a local Indian food movement at the award-winning Bombay Canteen in Mumbai. Travelling with him will give travellers an insight into this culinary maestro’s techniques while at the same time get an in-depth understanding of the cuisine of the regions they will be visiting.
‘Surf’s Up in Covelong with Anupama Shivacharya’ is a wellness-oriented trip led by Anupama Shivacharya, who is a surfer, diver, footballer, cyclist and one of the few certified callisthenics coaches in India. She will conduct this multi-day experience from September 5 – 8, 2024 in Covelong, situated near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, which is a popular surfing destination on the Indian East Coast. This trip will be a combination of surfing sessions, callisthenics sessions as well as flexibility and strength improvement sessions. These sessions will be complimented by a few cultural excursions.
The ‘Assam & Arunachal: Photograph Tour with Hari Menon’ will be a 5-day long journey from November 6 – 10, 2024, led by one of India’s finest travel photographers, Hari Menon. On this trip, the participants will get to explore Majuli in Assam and Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh and learn the art of photographing the local tribes in their everyday environments from Hari Menon.
Biking enthusiasts can embark on a special biking tour across Australia with Atul Warrier, who rode solo for 550 days overland across South East Asia, Australia, Middle East and Europe. The ‘Motorbike Australia with Atul Warrier’ Maestro Jrny will be a 9-day motorbike expedition from October 11 – 19, 2024. Starting from Melbourne, this trip will see the participants cruising on The Great Ocean Road, riding past the picturesque Australian outback and rising through the Victorian Alps.
‘MasterChef Nambie Marak’s Meghalaya: The Garo Hills’ will allow the participants to accompany the first runner-up of MasterChef India Season 8 to her hometown where they will experience the local way of life in a beautiful town in the Garo Hills in Meghalaya as well as learn about the vibrant culture and food of the Garo people. This journey will be of 4 days from October 20 – 23, 2024.
The “Queen of Spice” Chef Sapna Anand, who is the author of two bestselling cookbooks ‘New Indian Kitchen’ and ‘Fast Indian Cooking’, will be taking a group to Kerala from October 3 – 8, 2024 for the ‘Chef Sapna’s Kerala: A Spice Trail’. On this journey, Chef Sapna will unravel the mysteries of the local spices of her home state of Kerala, accompany the travellers to visit the bustling spice markets and spice plantations of the region as well as have an interactive cooking demonstration. The culinary extravaganza will also have local excursions including a boat ride along the waters of the Periyar river as well as a rice boat cruise through the winding canals of Alleppey.
