What will you be doing?
As the Regional Trade Manager, you will lead the development and execution of the trade strategy for Asia markets which will engage and convert potential visitors to New Zealand through trade partners. The scope of the role covers all booking channels – from premium and high value to core, and includes retail, wholesale, OTA’s and airline direct channels. The role will be responsible for the strategic leadership of Airline partnerships within the region and will lead the relationship with NZ Inc. agencies across the Asia region.
You will lead a trade team based in multiple countries who focus on a diverse portfolio of markets through an opportunity led approach. This will see you flexing resource to capitalise on opportunities or manage pressure points to enable the delivery of strategic goals. You will also work very closely with the Regional Marketing lead to ensure an integrated approach for strategic/opportunity development and execution
What you will need?
Essential to this role is strong leadership and strategic agility along with excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification along with extensive experience leading B2B teams. You will have well developed project management skill and commercial acumen for creating value for partners. You will have a proven ability to effective lead diverse teams focusing on multiple markets to deliver work programs.
