IT Security Executive – Travel Industry – Surrey / Hybrid – £45-50k. An excellent opportunity to join this highly reputable, well established and award winning travel company based in Surrey with flexibility to work remotely and occasional visits to the head office (approximately 3 times a month).

IT Security Executive Responsibilities

Working as part of a large IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring working practices comply with data protection legislation, internal security policies and external best practice. You will assess whether vulnerabilities exist and mitigating any risks, implementing security audits, monitoring network data and conducting vulnerability scans.

Your will safeguard information system assets, define access privileges, determine security violations, identify and solve potential security issues, keeping stakeholders informed via performance reports and sitting in on meetings.

The role covers both internal and external security threats, and is far reaching across the business in areas such as Data Protection / GDPR and Payment Card Interface through to ensuring marketing are compliant with PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation).

IT Security Executive Skills Required

• At least 2-3 years working in a specialist IT / Data Security specialist role
• Hands-on experience analysing high volumes of logs, network data and other attack artefacts
• Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
• Proficiency with anti-virus and security software
• Excellent communication skills and attention to details
• IT related degree or security qualification such as CISSP desirable but not essential

IT Security Executive Additional Details

A basic salary in the region of £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Flexibility to work remotely most of the time is you chose to do so but must be able to visit the surrey head office roughly 3 times a month
