HR Director, City Tours, Fully Remote. A fantastic opportunity to join this growing global travel brand where you will be responsible for all aspects of their people strategy and it’s delivery in order to support their expansion plans and improve business performance. We are ideally seeking someone with first hand company experience recruiting and managing tour guides or possibly seasonal staff which is a key challenge to be met to reach their business objectives.

HR Director Responsibilities

• Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for a remote team of 2 including a HR Associate and Trainer / Guide Manager
• Overseeing all aspects of recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation and benefits and HR policy
• Create an effective programme to recruit, motivate and coach a growing global organisation.
• Business partner regional general managers and board directors to align hr strategy to business objectives,
• Take a hands on approach with tactical and operational hr initiatives
• Ensure the business is utilising the most effective technologies such as applicant tracking systems or Learning Management Systems

HR Director skills required

• A generalist human resources background with experience gained in the travel industry
• Experience (either personally or leading teams that have) recruited tour leaders / guides or possibly seasonal staff that work out in destinations
• Global awareness; experience with multiple European and US operations would be an advantage
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• A strategic thinker with the willingness to roll your sleeves up and implement initiatives
