General Manager – Adventure Tour Operator – £50-60k – East London (Office Based). A fantastic opportunity to join an entrepreneurial, adventure and groups tour operator where you will be tasked with delivering business transformation initiatives to drive the organisation forwards whilst overseeing the ongoing delivery of overseas trips and customer service processes.

General Manager Responsibilities

• In conjunction with the Commercial Director and founding Director, you will create and deliver a series of short, medium and long-term projects to transform their international tour operations including brand, product, operations, customer service and sales.
• Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of existing tour programmes.
• Leading a small team of customer and business support assistants.
• Maintain knowledge of the market, travel trends and competition; adjusting the business proposition to remain competitive and attractive to consumers.
• Drive continuous improvement to business operations, customer service and product delivery.
• Track, measure and drive key performance indicators.

General Manager Skills Required

• At least 5 years of progressive experience gained in a tour operations environment.
• Financially and commercially literate.
• An understanding of the different components in delivering overseas trips.
• Experience and an understanding of delivering great customer service and the processes that achieve this.
• Broader commercial knowledge of brand, marketing, product and supplier management would be an advantage.
• A positive, can-do attitude with the drive and tenacity to get things done.
• Able to thrive in a small business environment where you are both strategic and hands on.

General Manager Additional Details

• A basic salary in the region of £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
• Please note this is fully office based in East London due to the team they will be managing and collaboration with other stakeholders.
