Job Description

Experienced Events & Awards Manager to take full ownership of awards and travel trade events.

 

The Events & Awards Manager will take the lead in developing, managing and delivering the organisation’s programme of events. As well as responsibility for event delivery you will be expected through your experience to bring further value through new ideas and creativity to our events calendar and TD’s commercial events strategy. 

 

You’ll report to the CEO & GM and work closely with the sales & editorial team to ensure high quality events. 

  • Create and manage budgets

  • Negotiate with suppliers

  • Create & develop marketing plans for events 

  • Source & manage speakers 

  • Source & manage sponsors with sales team

  • Project Manage annual Awards

  • Liaise with management to identify opportunities to expand range of event offerings such as webinars and summits

  • Annual Awards, lead the successful delivery of Annual Awards

  • Manage entries and oversee process of judging, sponsor liaison

  • Liaise with clients, entrants & suppliers 

  • Create & deliver online events 

 

You will be a versatile and proactive Event Manager with experience managing all aspects of event formats 20-800 pax and have prior experience managing small events and major awards – both in process and the event.  You’ll be knowledgeable in preparing budgets, negotiating with suppliers and working with sponsors. 

 

You’ll be well-organised, enthusiastic, a good multitasker with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people.
