ITB Asia has revealed that it is experiencing strong demand from exhibitors for floorspace at its 10th anniversary show, which takes place this October.
The trade show’s organiser, Messe Berlin (Singapore), said that by the end of its “early bird” booking phase, ITB Asia 2017 had garnered the highest number of bookings of any show to-date.
More than 80% of exhibition space has already been snapped up, and the organisers say they are now exploring options for expanding the show floor.
“We are delighted to see such strong levels of participation at ITB Asia this year,” said Katrina Leung, executive director of Messe Berlin (Singapore). “The surge in exhibitor demand is testament to ITB Asia’s leadership in the travel trade show industry and we aim to continue this positive momentum as we celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary.
“This is a key milestone year for all of us at ITB Asia and we are excited to celebrate this occasion together with all our exhibitors and partners,” she added.
The organisers added that while Europe and North Asia are set to “dominate the show floor”, Southeast Asia will also feature prominently, with Indonesia likely to be the show’s biggest single exhibitor.
Last year’s edition of ITB Asia attracted 846 exhibitors, as well as 895 buyers and more than 10,876 attendees over three days. This year’s event will take place from 25-27 October 2017 at Singapore’s Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
