Introducing Outbound Hotels: Redefining Adventure in America’s Great Outdoor Destinations
Outbound Hotels is a new collection of locally-minded hotels and experiences in beautiful outdoor destinations from Jackson Hole, WY, to Mammoth Lakes, CA. Each property is a place for travelers to disconnect so they can reconnect with nature and what matters: good times, good people, and all-around good vibes. At Outbound, outside is just the beginning!
Outbound Hotels are all about connection. Each property brings together music, local culture, and the outdoors with alternative lodging to create unforgettable experiences. While most brands open a hotel and curate activities that bring the destination indoors, Outbound Hotels flips the script. Each property is close enough to a town, where visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture, and close enough to nature where they can easily hit the trails, bike, ski, climb, or swim, making it seamless to enjoy outdoor activities before retreating to the comfort and camaraderie characteristic of Outbound Hotels properties.
When travelers step through the doors of an Outbound Hotels property, they’re instantly part of the community. They become “Outbounders,” a group who value inclusivity, sincerity, and human connection. To deliver a memorable experience to these guests, Outbound Hotels partners with experienced hospitality providers , including Springboard Hospitality, a premier hotel management company with over 30 years of history transforming hotels and The Gettys Group (a Chicago-based hotel design and development firm), to thoughtfully infuse each property with a unique charm and character. Amenity partners add unexpected extra touches for guests, from Solo Stove (known for their smokeless fire pits) to The Kin (an app that offers 24/7 pet health and nutrition support), created by the team behind popular pet blog The Wildest.
In addition to a knowledgeable team, adventure activity partners for easy-to-book outdoor activities and equipment rentals for off-site exploration, Outbound Hotels properties emphasize on-property community and connection. From complimentary campfire s’mores to morning yoga by the pool, plus weekly programs like karaoke night and live acoustic sessions. Great for groups, singles, and couples, all Outbound hotels are also dog and family friendly, fostering authentic moments of connection for a variety of guest-types. With an emphasis on music, casual dining, lively bars, and outdoor programming, Outbound Hotels properties welcome locals and travelers alike.
“We dig deep to unearth and offer what makes these amazing places amazing,” said Matthew Mering, executive vice president of hospitality at Waterton, Outbound Hotels’ ownership group. “We’re passionate about going the extra mile to help travelers have experiences that turn them into Outbounders: curious explorers who get their thrills from nature and love and respect the places they visit.”
