Internova Travel Group, one of the world’s largest travel services companies, brought its first edition of the Air Showcase to London on 13th December. The half-day event, curated by Francesca Vinchiaturo, Internova UK’s Director of Airline Relations & Revenue Management, took place at Internova Travel Group’s St Martin’s Lane office in London. Participating travel advisors were from Global Travel Collection UK and ALTOUR UK, with the addition of representatives from Barrhead Travel.
Creative and on-site event delivery was planned in collaboration with Internova’s Your Event Solutions team. Attendees experienced a unique air-inspired afternoon, including a VIP pamper lounge, hospitality from flight attendants, in-flight experiences, and valuable insights into the latest trends, services, and offerings within the airline industry. Airline partners provided updates on routes, technologies, and customer experience enhancements, to enable travel advisors to understand better and communicate the value of these offerings to their clients and liaise with airlines on the needs and requirements of their clients across corporate, leisure and entertainment sectors.
150 participants took part in 280 one-to-one appointments, emphasising the importance of human connection and forging genuine relationships with face-to-face interactions. The day concluded with a festive drinks reception to celebrate the end of the year, and ample networking opportunity. The event bridged the gap between the Internova travel advisor community and airline partners, fostering collaboration for the coming year.21 suppliers were in attendance, including headline sponsors Virgin & Delta, British Airways, United Airlines, Air Canada, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa Group, Air France and KLM, TAP and others.
“We are incredibly excited to have hosted the first ever Internova Air Showcase, which brought together our independent travel advisors and esteemed airline partners,” said Vinchiaturo. “This event represents our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and creating meaningful connections in the travel industry, and will benefit both advisors and our partners hugely.”
“Internova is proud to have launched this initiative in London, reinforcing our commitment to providing unmatched support and resources to our network of independent travel advisors,” added Peter Vlitas, Executive Vice President, Partner Relations at Internova Travel Group.
