With International Women’s Day coming up in March, InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping is set to showcase local female talent and celebrate women from all over the world.
This year’s slate brings the community together over a series of special events that aim to empower, inspire and connect.
Each activity celebrates the beauty, wisdom, strength, and spirit of women in numerous beguiling ways.
Ladies, to the bar, please
On 7th March, the eve of International Women’s Day, HONG’s Sky Bar transforms into a creative playground, as four female bartenders take over the bar to present their signature cocktails, priced at THB 450++ each.
Guests will have a chance to try Nazee Vermouth by HONG’s own Oranut Kawin; Midnight Banoffee Dream by Yim Ranukar from Vintage Wings; Gentleness of Lanna courtesy of Pawita Khamphrom from Thai Bev. Bar; and “Beauty and the Bitch” by Chompooh Kaewalee, a mixologist at Mai the Sky Bar.
Entry fee is THB 450++ per person; price includes one glass of sparkling wine.
The mixology showcase will run from 5:30 pm to 5:45 pm, followed by a DJ set from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
A feast for International Women’s Day
On 8th March, International Women’s Day itself, the buffet dinner at The Gad Lanna invites guests to celebrate the women in their lives over Thai and international classics, premium dishes such as Gavieri caviar, and, of course, a rich bit of dessert.
The price is THB 2,288++ per person, including one glass of the mixologist’s choice cocktail for all ladies, live music and automatic lucky draw entry.
Special deals include an Early Bird offer of THB 1,944++ when booked by 28th February, and a complimentary meal when dining with three other people. Free-flow beverage packages are also available.
Tea gets crazy about mangoes
At the Kam Lobby Lounge, the vibrant hues and irresistible flavours of Thai mango season offer another excuse to indulge and celebrate.
The Crazy Mango afternoon tea can be enjoyed from 1st to 31st March, showing off highlights like tiger prawn and mango cocktail slices, smoked salmon mango mayo on rye bread, mango macarons, and an “Xtreme Mango” tart.
The price is THB 950++ per person with coffee or organic tea, or THB 1,150++ per person including a glass of Prosecco.

Staying in Charming Chiang Mai
Guests can also book the “Charming Chiang Mai” stay package for a celebratory stay.
This staycation package includes accommodation, daily breakfast and hotel credit of THB 1,000 net per room per stay.
