Bangkok-based tour operator, I Asia Thailand, has announced its new partnership with Thailand’s longest-serving destination management company (DMC), Diethelm Travel Group, in order to sell the DMC’s product across the majority of I Asia Thailand’s country network.
The new partnership will combine I Asia Thailand’s existing network with Diethelm Travel Group’s collection of thousands of travel services and experiences across Asia, making them available to a broader market of travellers.
“It’s great to pool resources”
“Partnering with Diethelm Travel Group and offering its unique products is a natural next step for I Asia Thailand,” said Nick Critelli, general manager of I Asia Thailand. “We’ve already built a solid reputation and array of offerings across Thailand and now are looking forward to opening up a number of new products and destinations across Asia to our partners and guests. I believe working with other DMC’s and partners will make our companies stronger in the future. It’s great to pool resources”.
Expanding on theme Critelli said: “I believe that DMC’s can work together and sell each other’s products. For example, Diethelm is selling luxury private tours which we are looking to promote and we can work with them to sell to our partners. We are also working together to create something special for certain markets and operators.”
“Excellent products that we are now selling with our partners”
Critelli also cited strong working relationships as a reason for the new deal: “I have worked with Oscar L’Opera [Diethelm’s general manager of group services] before and we have always succeeded in our business together. This was a great opportunity to reconnect. Diethelm has some excellent products that we are now selling with our partners. In fact, we have opened I Asia Singapore 3 weeks before schedule!”
“At Diethelm Travel Group, we pride ourselves not simply on the experiences we have created but the relationships we’ve cultivated over the decades – from our partners and service providers to on-the-ground guides and guests,” said Victor Mogilev, Diethelm Travel’s group director of sales. “We’re pleased to now further connect with I Asia Thailand and its existing channels of partners.”
