Maldivian luxury resort Huvafen Fushi unveils its latest offering for travellers searching for a dreamscape – The PlayPen, The Grand Beach Pavilion.
Designed as a romantic escapade, The PlayPen showcases New York loft-style living spaces in an Upper East Side-style for guests with a penchant for vintage pieces and eclectic furniture. Aimed at providing a luxury retreat for honeymooners in the Maldives, it’s just 30 minutes by speedboat from the international airport.
The PlayPen’s elevated open-plan master bedroom and playroom feature an oversized oceanview bath, private steam and sauna, wet area, and balcony overlooking the black lava stone infinity pool.
On the ground floor, which can be accessed via a private courtyard, there’s an open living and entertainment space. It has modern amenities such as Bang & Olufsen sound systems and phones, plasma TVs, a bottomless cocktail bar, espresso machine, and a culinary gallery that flows seamlessly into the private deck.
In addition, there are daybeds, an outdoor shower, a private BBQ area and an infinity pool that leads to the beach beyond.
Once guests arrive at the private paradise, they can expect a dedicated team led by personal Thakurus (Maldivian for butlers) available 24/7 and housed on premises. There are also tailor-made activities designed for guests to meet their individual needs.
The two-storey, 445sqm PlayPen starts from US$17,000 per night for minimum five-night stays.
