Hotel Data Conference sold out for sixth year in a row
The 11th annual Hotel Data Conference (HDC), presented by Rainmaker, has reached capacity status with a record 725 registered attendees for the event on 14-16 August at the JW Marriott Nashville. Co-hosted by STR and Hotel News Now, HDC has now sold out six years in a row, with 75% growth in attendance in that time.
“The substantial growth in our number of attendees is a testament to the collective work of our core planning committee, content planning committee and really our entire organization,” said Amanda Hite, president and CEO of STR. “Our goal each year is to exceed the previous year’s value for those joining from various disciplines around the industry. This year’s content will be incredibly practical for attendees in their day-to-day job functions.”
HDC will feature 135 speakers across five general sessions, 17 breakout panel sessions, 18 ‘data dash’ sessions and nine advanced-level ‘data dive’ discussions.
Included in the five general sessions are the unveiling of updated US forecasts from STR and CBRE as well as discussion on pricing psychology during a downturn, economic or travel opportunities and risks, disruption, guest experience and distribution strategy. Unique breakout sessions will cover the impact of artificial intelligence and machine-learning systems, development ramp-up time, labour costs and profitability and alternative accommodations.
