In this week’s list of hot hotel openings, we’ve got stunning new properties from Marriott’s The Luxury Collection, Nobu Hotels, Mövenpick and more.
Reges, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Çeşme
The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott International Inc, has announced the opening of Reges, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Çeşme. The property marks The Luxury Collection’s third hotel in Turkey, joining the brand’s existing properties in Bodrum and Ankara.
Having set the tone for a regal experience from its conception, Reges derives its name from the Latin for King: Rex. The two buildings that comprise the resort even resemble a crown when viewed from above. Curved around an idyllic natural cove and bathed in sunshine for more than 300 days of the year, Reges is spread across 1.2 miles of Çeşme’s Boyalık Bay. The 93 guestrooms and 11 suites feature oversized floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the sapphire-hued Aegean Sea.
“Authentic and indigenous experiences”
“As the Luxury Collection continues its journey into new destinations, the brand’s founding mission – to deliver authentic and indigenous experiences – remains particularly important,” said Jenni Benzaquen, vice president, Luxury Brands – Europe, Marriott International.
“From the resort’s stunning design to its touches of warm, local hospitality, as well as its cultural experiences curated by the Luxury Collection, Reges will captivate our global explorers with Çeşme’s rich culture and tranquil coastal charm.”
Nobu Hotel Los Cabos
Situated on the idyllic Baja California Sur peninsula, the region of Los Cabos (aka Cabo) is now home to the newest Nobu Hotel – the group’s first hotel in Mexico.
Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is a project of lead architects, Monica Cuervo and Mark Yoshizaki of WATG. Each of the 200 guest rooms and suites has ocean and resort views and interiors handled by Severine Tatangelo of Studio PCH.
For the ultimate in luxury, there are also one- or two-bedroom Nobu Suites, boasting a large stone fireplace, separate living room, dining area, full kitchen, 15-foot ceilings, ocean views, and light and airy spaces.
