2019 firecrackers: Hot hotels opening with a bang next year

Before we feast and celebrate the new year — let’s take a look at 2019’s most promising properties from around the globe. In this week’s special edition of hot hotel openings, we’ve got new hotels from Rosewood, NH Hotel Group, BLESS Collection, Four Seasons and more.
Rosewood Hong Kong
Rosewood Hong Kong is a new ultra-luxury property situated within the Victoria Dockside arts, design and conceptual retail district that will open on 17 March 2019.
The 413-room hotel will be at a prime Victoria Harbour waterfront location at the former New World Centre on Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. It will occupy 27 floors of a multi-use tower, with eight restaurants complemented by recreational facilities.
nhow London
nhow London is a 190-room hotel under NH Hotel Group’s design and lifestyle brand that’s set to open in summer 2019. Located between London, Islington and Shoreditch, within the 250 City Road development designed by Sir Norman Foster’s architectural firm Foster + Partners, the four-star hotel will be NH Hotel Group’s second property in the UK.
Under the theme ‘London Reloaded’, the design will combine traditional British icons with unconventional contemporary elements.
BLESS Hotel Ibiza
BLESS Collection Hotels announces the launch of BLESS Hotel Ibiza, the second property from the new luxury brand. The hotel will open its doors in the summer of 2019.
Situated in one of the most exclusive parts of Ibiza in the north of the island, Santa Eulalia del Rio, the property is positioned in a picturesque cove with stunning views across the water. It will feature 151 rooms, a spa, a range of restaurants including a signature restaurant by Martin Berasategui, two infinity pools, Sky lounge bar, vermouth bar and meeting rooms.
Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw
In the business district of the capital city of Poland, the 164-room Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw opens in February 2019. Located close to the airport, the hotel is aimed primarily at business travellers and visitors who appreciate industrial design, lively lobby culture and creative meeting opportunities.
Grantley Hall
Grantley Hall, located near UNESCO World Heritage site Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire, is a luxury hotel and wellness retreat, set against the stunning backdrop of the Dales. Built in 1680 and surrounded by landscaped grounds, Grantley Hall features 47 rooms and suites with Lalique toiletries, a spa with indoor swimming pool and facilities. The hotel is slated to open in June 2019.
Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens
Just minutes from the historic city centre of Athens is a pine-clad peninsula jutting into the Aegean Sea— offering myriad recreational opportunities and world-class dining in a fabulously chic setting. The new Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is now confirming reservations for arrivals beginning 29 March 2019.
Lelewatu Resort Sumba
A tropical and relatively unknown paradise in Indonesia’s archipelago, Sumba Island turns heads with its remote pristine beaches, world-class surf, lush jungles, and rich local culture.
In 2019, the island will welcome the debut of Lelewatu Resort Sumba, set on a cliffside overlooking a private lagoon and the Indian Ocean. Scattered over 10 acres of land, the resort’s 27 luxurious villas are designed with authentic Sumbanese wooden interiors, handwoven ikat fabrics, indoor marble baths, and private pools.
