James Beard Award-winning chef Curtis Duffy joins for event’s most notable chef line up to date.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced today that critically-acclaimed American chef Curtis Duffy will bring his culinary talents to Asia as one of only three featured international master chefs at Hong Kong’s CCB (Asia) Wine & Dine Festival. As the owner and executive chef of the illustrious Chicago restaurant Grace, Duffy has been a rare recipient of three Michelin Stars for four consecutive years. He is recognized for his progressive, micro-seasonal cuisine and as the star of the award-winning documentary For Grace. Duffy is one of the United States’ most celebrated chefs as the recipient of culinary awards ranging from the AAA Five Diamond Award, to a James Beard Award and as Food & Wine Magazine‘s ‘Best Innovative Pastry Chef”, amongst many others.
Duffy will prepare speciality dishes during unique culinary events that are set to take place in the festival’s Tasting Room. Joining Duffy and rounding out the festival’s most eminent international master chef line up to date are two additional internationally-celebrated talents: Singaporean chef Janie Wong, and the Taiwan-born chef André Chiang. Together, the Duffy-Wong-Chiang collaboration will take Tasting Room diners through a remarkable culinary experience.
“Hong Kong is such a hotbed of culinary talent, and each visit leaves me inspired to continue to push my cuisine forward,” said Duffy. “I look forward to working alongside some of the best chefs in the industry for some of the most discerning pallets anywhere.”
HKTB’s 9th annual CCB (Asia) Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival will return to Victoria Harbour’s Central Harbourfront event space from October 26-29, 2017. The four-day food and wine festival will showcase emerging culinary talent from Hong Kong and all throughout the world at over 400 individual food and wine booths. As the kick off to the Great November Feast, Hong Kong’s month-long culinary indulgence program, Wine & Dine Festival is set to provide visitors and residents with one of Asia’s most unique culinary experiences, further defining Hong Kong as the wine and dine hub of the region.
“Hong Kong Tourism Board is thrilled to have a chef of Duffy’s caliber joining us for this year’s Wine & Dine Festival,” said Bill Flora, HKTB
Director – USA. “His exceptional culinary talents will be a welcomed addition to Hong Kong’s most sought-after gastronomic experience.”
