Hong Kong Airlines Off to a flying start

Hong Kong Airlines, a four-star full-service airline is the new title sponsor of the Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge and will be for the next three seasons.
The 2017/18 season Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge kicked off 6th September at the Happy Valley Racecourse with Hong Kong Airlines’ senior management and the Hong Kong Jockey Club celebrating the start of the season with the opening ceremony for the Challenge.
To mark the occasion, Hong Kong Airlines held a celebration dinner in Happy Valley with theme of “Where Parties Begin”, and turned the Racecourse into a party location to mark the occasion.
Mr Zhang Kui, Co-Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr Tang King Shing, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr Wang Liya, Vice Chairman and President of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Jockey Club, Mr Anthony Kelly, Executive Director of Racing Business and Operations of Hong Kong Jockey Club, Mr Simon Li, Director-General of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, Mr Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Airport Authority and Mr Anthony Lau, Executive Director of Hong Kong Tourism Board officiated at the dinner event, celebrating the cooperation between Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Jockey Club.
In addition, Hong Kong Airlines gave out two sets of round-trip economy class tickets between Hong Kong and Los Angeles (U.S.) and Hong Kong and Vancouver (Canada).
As a local carrier Hong Kong Airlines is proud to engage with the local community by working with local organizations. Both it and the Hong Kong Jockey Club have strong commitments to community service, which have resulted in a three-year partnership in the Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge.
The 2017/18 Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge runs from 6th September, 2017 through 21st February, 2018.
