Hilton’s waterfront hotel in Shenzhen has expanded by incorporating a neighbouring property as its new wing.
The former Nanhai Hotel has now been swallowed by the Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai, adding 218 more rooms, three dining outlets and multiple leisure facilities to the property, which overlooks Shenzhen Bay. The old hotel will now be known as the Hilton’s Nanhai Wing.
“Hilton has proudly welcomed the world’s travellers for nearly 100 years,” said Martin Rinck, Hilton’s president of Asia Pacific. “The introduction of the Nanhai Wing at Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai elevates our commitment to deliver world-class service to travellers visiting one of China’s most important and fastest growing cities.”
The 218 additional rooms include 31 apartments, while the new wing also adds a fitness centre, sports courts, a putting green, indoor and outdoor kids’ playgrounds and a two-metre-deep outdoor pool suitable for water polo.
The Nanhai Wing also adds 1,164m² of meeting space to the hotel including the 324m² Nanhai Hall ballroom, plus three restaurants: Kitchencraft, which specialises in Sichuan and Fujian cuisine, Zest, a lobby level cafe and bakery, and Leaf, a Chinese tea lounge.
Set on the shores of Shenzhen Bay, Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai is located close to the Shekou Cruise Center and the SeaWorld complex.
