Hilton celebrates 50th hotel in the UAE with dual brand signing

Hilton has announced its 50th hotel in the UAE with the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Corniche Residences and Conrad Marjan Island Resort.
Hilton continues to grow its presence in the UAE with the signing of two properties — Conrad Marjan Island Resort, located in Marjan Island, a cluster of four man-made islands to the west of Ras Al Khaimah, and the DoubleTree by Hilton, located on Ras Al Khaimah’s Corniche.
The new properties will cater for travellers to Ras Al Khaimah and meet the demand for internationally branded residences. The emirate boasts of pristine beaches, historical sites and adventure attractions, making it a popular destination for local and international visitors alike.

“Ras Al Khaimah is a fast-growing and highly sought-after leisure destination and the number of international visitors arrival rose by 11.2% in the first nine months of 2018 and are expected to reach 1 million this year for the first time in the emirate’s history,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development, Middle East, North Africa & Turkey, Hilton.
“Hilton has had a presence in Ras Al Khaimah for more than 15 years and we are delighted to be introducing the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand to the Emirate and to be opening the DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Corniche Residences.”
Conrad Marjan Island Resort will offer 120-guest rooms including beach villas and water villas. Facilities include a fitness centre, salon, spa, an outdoor pool and a kids club. The hotel will also feature a range of dining options including two signature restaurants, a pool bar and beach bar.

Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, said: “Hilton has long been a pioneer of the hotel industry in Ras Al Khaimah and it’s a great addition to Ras Al Khaimah to see Hilton bringing its luxury Conrad brand here to Marjan Island and the corniche will benefit hugely with the addition of the DoubleTree by Hilton residences.”
To connect travellers to the Emirate, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is welcoming direct flights from a growing number of countries including Poland, Russia, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic.
Ras Al Khaimah is also easily accessible from Dubai International Airport, which served more than 88 million passengers last year, making it the busiest airport in the world in 2017.
