Thailand’s homegrown hospitality brand Dusit International has officially opened the doors of Heritage Villas Zhouzhuang.
Nestled on the ancient water town of Jiangsu Province, Heritage Villas Zhouzhuang is within the Yungu Pastoral Valley, approximately 60 minutes by car from Shanghai and 40 minutes from Suzhou. The property comprises 33 rooms in traditional houses, featuring designs that are focused on comfort and family-friendly amenities which include a mini golf range and an outdoor play area.
“This distinctive resort with historic houses in this beautiful water town”
Lim Boon Kwee, the chief operating officer at Dusit International, commented: “We are delighted to open this distinctive resort with historic houses in this beautiful water town. Our comfortable rooms and excellent location provide the perfect platform to showcase Dusit’s unique brand of Thai-inspired, gracious hospitality, and we look forward to delighting domestic and international travellers alike with our thoughtful and friendly service.”
With its rich history and natural beauty, Zhouzhuang is often referred to as the Venice of the East due to its distinctive network of canals, rivers and lakes, well-preserved ancient houses and bridges, providing a collection of water views. Zhouzhuang’s main scenic spots and historical attractions, which date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, are all within walking distance of Heritage Villas Zhouzhuang.
The opening of the property is part of the brand’s China strategy, the first phase before opening the Dusit Thani Zhouzhuang — an upscale, full-service hotel comprising 160 guest rooms due to open in 2022. The hotel building will feature an all-day-dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a health club, an indoor swimming pool, and conference facilities.
To celebrate its opening, Heritage Villas Zhouzhuang is offering a Grand Opening package featuring accommodation in a Heritage Room, and breakfast for two persons, starting from RMB 688 (USD 100). The package is valid until 31 December 2018.
