Hainan Airlines opens Haikou-Moscow route next month
The Chinese carrier will be flying the route thrice a week beginning 26 August
Hainan Airlines announced that it would commence flights between Haikou and Moscow from 26 August.
The airline’s twelfth international and regional route out of Haikou is seen as a way of promoting economic development and cultural exchange between China and Russia.
This development also serves as a more convenient way to fly between the two cities, and a precursor to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Flying thrice a week
Hainan Airlines will run three round-trip flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Outbound flights will take off from the Haikou Melian International Airport at 0200 Beijing time, then arrive at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport at 0740 local time.
Return flights take off from Sheremetyevo International Airport at 1425 local time, and arrive in Haikou at 0540 Beijing time the following day.
