Gulf Air’s inaugural Spanish city Malaga flight touches down
Gulf Air celebrated its inaugural summer service to and from Malaga Costa del Sol in South Spain.
Gulf Air’s flight GF021 was welcomed into Malaga Costa del Sol Airport with a water cannon salute and, upon arrival, a celebratory event was held at the airport that saw the attendance of various dignitaries, Costa del Sol Tourism Authority, a number of local media and travel industry representatives, alongside airport officials.
Before departing from Bahrain International Airport, passengers were handed commemorative gifts as the airline celebrated the very first flight from Bahrain to Spain. The seasonal flights are operated by Gulf Air’s flagship aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner which features 26 Falcon Gold seats and 256 economy class seats; all equipped with latest comfort technology and inflight entertainment system featuring blockbuster movies and rich content selection.

Talking about this new flight, Krešimir Kučko, CEO, Gulf Air said, “This is a remarkable event for us to fly, for the first time, to Spain and especially to Malaga, which is widely popular for being a summer resort for many of our passengers. From today until mid-September we will fly twice a week to Malaga and provide this great opportunity for everyone to try our newest Dreamliner and our newest premium leisure destination.”
