Greether, which was founded by Vanessa Karel, is a platform that helps women travel safer around the world by connecting female travelers with local women Greeters who can be booked to explore destinations in a safe, authentic and sustainable way. The platform currently has signups of adventurous women in over 90 countries around the world and is working to launch their mobile app this year.
“We are thrilled to have been accepted into the Expedia Group Accelerator program,” said Vanessa Karel, CEO of Greether. “This is a very exciting opportunity for us to take Greether to the next level, connect with experts in the travel industry and reach our goals of helping more female identified travelers navigate the world with fewer risks.”
Through the program, Greether will have access to Expedia Group’s global network of travel partners and mentors, as well as opportunities to explore potential commercial and/or tech partnerships with the company.
Greether is set to begin the program in January 2023 at an event at their headquarters in Seattle in which Vanessa Karel (Greether founder) and team will present in front of their executives and other selected startups.
