According to the hotel developers, it’s a dream project that’s designed to help the state become a tourist and MICE hub of India.
With the help of the five-star hotel, the tourism sector is expected to see growth in both revenues and economic activities which will empower Kerala.
“Setting a new standard for living grand”
“We are delighted to introduce the Grand Hyatt brand to Kerala and grow our brand footprint in the region,” said Sunjae Sharma, Hyatt’s vice president of operations for India. “Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty is a spectacular destination resort setting a new standard for living grand in the city. Both inside and out, the hotel’s design, cuisine and grand experiences celebrate the hospitality of Kochi.”
The resort is owned by Lulu Group International and was designed by architects from Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo UK Limited (WATG). It’s located near the historic town of Fort Kochi, adjacent to the sprawling Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Center, the largest in South India.
All of its rooms and public places feature views of backwaters, city skylines, or landscaped gardens. The hotel houses 33 Grand Suites, four Executive Suites, and one Presidential Suite, as well as three two-bedroom villas and a three-bedroom villa. Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has 3,000 square metres of meeting space, including a Grand Ballroom and smaller residential-style meeting rooms. It is meticulously planned and interlinked with the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Center (which is also managed by the hotel) offering maximised flexibility for large events on a waterfront location.
