UK tour operator Goa Experience, part of Serenity Holidays, who specialise in holidays to the popular coastal province in the west of India, has updated its list of guided, private tours to coincide with the launch of its latest brochure, covering Winter 2018/19.
The latest itineraries include, ‘India’s Golden Triangle’, a six-night tour taking in the Indian capital of Delhi as well as Jaipur and Agra. Where travellers can explore the Taj Mahal, one of the modern wonders of the world, built by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal.
The tour can now be extended to eight nights by adding a guided expedition into Ranthambore National Park (main picture) home of the country’s famous Bengal Tigers.
Next up is the brand new ‘Golden Triangle with Shimla and Amritsar’, a comprehensive 11-night expedition of the region complemented by trips into the Golden Temple at Amritsar and views of the Himalayas on a train from Shimla.
Kerala with Madurai is an extension of the seven-night tour ‘Kerala Highlights’. Here, trippers will spend 11 nights exploring the ancient city of Cochin, hiking through in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve, not to mention taking a traditional houseboat into the waterways of Kerala.
These trip extensions can also be booked as short breaks, with ‘North India Highlights’ (2 nights) a whistle-stop tour of famous locations, such as Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Old Delhi; and Kerala Backwaters (3 nights) a guided tour of Cochin and a houseboat trip – both perfect for an exotic long weekend.
Goa Experience’s trade relations manager Gill Synnuck commented: “We’re delighted to have expanded our ‘India Tours’ programme, giving agents a better variety of touring options for clients. By introducing new destinations such as Shimla and Amritsar, it’s never been easier to discover more of India with Goa Experience.”
To top it off all these private tours are accompanied by a well-drilled, knowledgeable and English speaking tour guide.
