The Global Travel Group reports record sales and leap in forward bookings

The Global Travel Group has reported double digit growth for overall sales across its 350 plus contingent of independent travel agents last month.
Forward bookings for 2018 are also up year on year by 18%.
Top performing destinations for 2017 so far include Spain with bookings up by 90% year on year, including the Balearics and Canary Islands, followed by Italy and a UK staycation seeing a 20 and 15% growth in sales respectively.
Bookings to Mauritius and the Indian Ocean are up by over 100% with the UAE securing 15% growth year on year to date.
The Global Travel Group’s managing director, Andy Stark said:

The news comes soon after the consortium reported a 22% rise in new members opting to join the group over the past 12 months.
