The Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) has decided to start using the Sabre as an alternative distribution platform for its members.
Under the agreement, GHA’s collection of more than 550 properties will now have the option of choosing the Sabre SynXis Central Reservations (CR) system.
This allows hotels to control their rates and inventory and provides distribution via multiple channels, including the Sabre GDS, online travel agencies, and online and mobile booking engines. The solution also integrates elements such as revenue management and loyalty programmes.
“The complexity and competition in the hospitality space is growing at an unprecedented rate. To win, hotels need to master distribution – and master it fast,” said Alex Alt, president of Sabre Hospitality Solutions. “As the leader in this space, we look forward to helping GHA member brands and individual hotels grow their revenue and bookings in every channel from OTAs to GDS to direct.”
Christopher Hartley, CEO of GHA, commented; “Eight of our member brands already use the Sabre SynXis CR, and so it was a natural step to add Sabre as one of our preferred technology partners.”
GHA’s hotel brands currently include Alila, Anantara, Kempinski, Marco Polo, Outrigger, Pan Pacific and Rydges, among others.
