flybig connects Moradabad and Lucknow, expanding UDAN Network
India’s regional airline, flybig, announced the launch of flights between Moradabad and Lucknow, expanding its domestic network under the UDAN scheme. This addition marks Moradabad as the 12th destination on flybig’s growing network.
The first flight from Moradabad to Lucknow was inaugurated by Shri Dharampal Singh, State government minister and Shri Baldev Singh Aulakh, the Minister of State for Agriculture, who attended the ceremony. The dignitaries emphasized the importance of regional air connectivity in driving socio-economic development and promoting tourism in the state.

Saanjay Mandavia, CMD and Founder of flybig. “The introduction of flights between Moradabad and Lucknow will benefit business travellers, tourists, and local residents, facilitating seamless regional connectivity.”
The airline will operate thrice-weekly flights between Moradabad and Lucknow on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights depart Moradabad at 09:35 AM, arriving in Lucknow at 10:45 AM, and return from Lucknow at 07:50 AM, reaching Moradabad at 09:05 AM. The inaugural 19-seater flight on August 10 departs Moradabad at 10:05 AM, landing in Lucknow at 11:15 AM. Frequency may increase based on demand.
flybig has also recently launched services from Lucknow to four key destinations, which include Azamgarh, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, and Shravasti, enhancing regional connectivity in Uttar Pradesh.
With fares starting at ₹999* on select routes, the new services aim to establish direct connectivity while offering passengers enhanced accessibility and cost-effective travel options.
In the coming months, flybig plans to further expand its network, connecting more Tier II and Tier III cities to support regional economic growth and development.
Additionally, flybig has entered into a new agreement with the Airports Authority of India and the Union Territory Administration of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to operate on routes between Port Blair, Car Nicobar, and Campbell Bay. With its fleet of three aircraft, flybig continues to expand its network, bringing more regions into the fold of affordable and convenient air travel.
