Flight Centre Travel Group has appointed Andy Hegley as general manager of its specialist SME travel management division, Corporate Traveller.
He has worked in area leader and business development positions within Corporate Traveller and sister brand Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT) for more than 10 years.
Hegley joined Flight Centre Travel Group in 2007 as a leisure consultant based in Bristol but switched to business travel in 2009 becoming a business development manager for FCBT.
He moved to Corporate Traveller in 2010, first as business development team leader, before taking on the role of area leader for the Bristol, Bath, Oxford and Birmingham region for both Corporate Traveller and Flight Centre’s retail operation.
In 2012, he was promoted to area leader of Corporate Traveller’s Greater London region. For the last four years he has held the post of Brand Leader FCBT.
“I am delighted that Andy Hegley has taken on this role, as he has extensive experience across all areas of our business, as well as a great understanding of business travel and the needs of SME clients.” said Steve Norris, corporate managing director, Flight Centre Travel Group.
Andy Hegley said: “My priority is to ensure Corporate Traveller continues to provide the service that we are renowned for – small teams of expert consultants delivering highly personal and flexible travel services to their SME clients via local offices across the country.”
