FitwellX founder takes spring wellness residency at Amilla Maldives
Karol Krauser Hasegawa will be leading wellness sessions through April
Natural luxury island resort Amilla Maldives announced that FitwellX founder Sensei Karol Krauser Hasegawa will be in residence through April for their spring wellness residency.
Guests at Amilla can engage in expert-led wellness journeys alongside complimentary classes, each designed to foster harmony between physical, mental and spiritual well-being through a blend of modern and traditional healing therapies.
With over 35 years of experience and a profound passion for wellbeing, Hasegawa has travelled across the globe to study the diverse elements of traditional holistic healing, body work, yoga, meditation, martial arts, and sports medicine.Â
From high-octane active to restfully serene
During Hasegawa’s spring residency, those staying at Amilla Maldives are invited to enjoy a moment of renewal with a choice of complimentary classes, from Movement Medicine, Chakra Meditation, Couples Massage or Mobility Class.Â
Each transformative 45-minute workshop is designed to inspire relaxation, connection and balance, offering an empowering wellness experience.
For high-energy activities, guests can choose from an array of self-defense classes from around the world, including the Filipino Kali, a dynamic martial art originating in the Philippines that focuses on knife and empty-hand combat; Kuntao Silat, a combination between Chinese Kuntao and Southeast Asian Silat; and Kajukenbo, a Hawaiian hybrid martial art blending karate, judo, kenpo and boxing.
Guests can also discover a moment of zen with Restorative Yoga, a calming session incorporating meditation and gentle poses for relaxation and spiritual awareness; or Traditional Hatha Yoga, which balances the body, mind and energy through physical and breathwork techniques.Â
Physio Yoga Therapy, on the other hand, provides guests with personalised yoga routines, designed specifically to support their rehabilitation while improving strength and promoting overall recovery.
One-to-one Tai Chi and Qigong sessions showcase gentle movements that enhance balance, flexibility and energy flow; while Guided Meditation, Breathwork and Reiki clears blockages, reduces stress, and restores physical, emotional and mental balance.
Also, Hasegawa’s Signature Intuitive Bodywork lets guests experience a deep relaxation and healing session with a combination of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Malaysian, Thai and Asian massage traditions; while the Martial Arts Holistic Massage embraces the roots of traditional martial healing through energy work, acupressure, enhanced circulation, relaxation and therapeutic stretching.Â
Additionally, the Medical Massage Therapy, Chronic Pain Relief, and Nerve Entrapment therapeutic massages use deep techniques, often paired with physiotherapy and corrective exercises, to provide a comprehensive holistic healing experience.
