About The Opportunity
The role of the Trade Sales Executive is an exciting opportunity to promote and grow Discova trade accounts across our key markets. The goal would be to handle, manage and grow our tailor-made inquiry through our agent networks within the your market in accordance to set targets. They create new sales opportunities by identifying top agents and networks and focus on key business areas via means of trade shows networking, webinars and other agent events. They present Discova products and services in a compelling financial and operational offering in order develop new customers and sell additional products, services and destinations to existing ones. There will be an element of account management with existing trade accounts. This role will be the owner of our FIT Tailormade business.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the Trade FIT tailor made business and managing our agent networks across the USA and Canada• Develop and maintain long term multilevel relationships with key decision-makers within agent networks to improve opportunities for new sales and account development.• Prepare monthly reviews and reports for our key agent partners, hold monthly account meetings and trainings to ensure account performance and growth. • Be the voice of our agent business in North Americas by building relationships with our agent business and handling incoming inquiry such as new leads, calls, emails etc. • Work with our regional FIT teams to facilitate new inquiry and to ensure agreed timelines are met.
• Responsible for FIT Tailormade sales in Discova Asia and Americas Destinations • The ability to upsell on our FIT tailormade packages throughout our agent networks. • Establish relationships with new and current partners, building on key relationships. • Responsible for delivering growth with existing partners in existing and new destinations • Delivering a program of planned activity, host webinars and agent trainings and attend agent events when needed. • Sourcing new agent business across the USA and Canada but research and networking. • Switch sell agents from competitor DMC to Discova• Planning schedules and attending trade shows• Follow best practices across all destinations and departments• High level Company, product & market knowledge• Up to date knowledge of all company, industry issues and current affairs.• Ability to provide sound consultation and business solutions for our agents based on their current and future needs.• Understanding of terms and conditions of contracts and the associated tangible and intangible costs &/or benefits• Complete yearly sales plans, monthly reports and process documents to track progress against overall budget • Assist the GM with reporting and analyzing figures and budget progress• Analyzing sales figures and suggesting suitable strategies for growth• Ask as well as participate in any trainings or upskilling recommended by the leader or you feel relevant to your role. • Ensure you maintain up to date with product knowledge and understand the Discova offerings.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience – Degree in tourism and hospitality is an advantage
Experience Sales with a solid track record of successful B2B development/sales – (sales experience in the travel industry is a plus).
Experience working in the countries they are responsible for.
Fluent in written and spoken English (Spanish is a huge plus!)
Ability to attend trade shows and events where needed.
