About the OpportunityWe are seeking a tailor-made expert to join our global family. The role of the tailor-made travel expert is to deliver an excellent sales experience as part of the ambitious Tailor-made Sales team. You will go above and beyond to deliver the most innovative and sellable proposals for our partners in the most responsive and accessible way, taking pride in Discova product offerings and destinations and displaying expertise in the process. As a Tailor-made Travel Expert, you are focused on exceeding the agent’s expectations from start to finish whilst being driven to achieve your individual sales target. Your goal is to secure the sale and, to do that, you can critically assess the needs and interests of the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and handle B2B enquiry according to Discova’s One Best Way
Carefully qualify every enquiry received; identify the purpose for travel and what might motivate and drive a traveller to book
Prepare thoughtful, well-considered proposals that reflect the needs and interests of the travellers
Communicate clearly about recommendations made regarding the itinerary, suppliers, inclusions, etc., to help secure the sale
Build rapport with partners by engaging with them where they need us, be it by phone, email, text, chat/messenger, or video call
Display business acumen through a range of tasks, including preparing the necessary documentation and using Discova systems
Take part in ongoing development, including company training sessions and staying across broader industry trends.

About you:The Essentials:
A degree in tourism and hospitality is an advantage.
Lived or worked in Japan, and/or have an in-depth knowledge of Japan
Ability to speak the Japanese language an advantage
2 years of full-time professional work experience in travel sales (or customer service).
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Experience working towards and achieving sales targets and KPI’s

Outstanding sales skills with a strong customer care focus, but ultimately results-oriented.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be flexible, including around work schedule
Excellent communicator, comfortable communicating by phone, video calls, email, and chat/messenger
Solution-focused – an excellent problem-solver
Advanced computer skills and the ability to confidently learn new computer systems
Able to work independently and within a team, assisting team members to help everyone achieve results.
